Phi Alpha Epsilon is the national honor society for architectural engineering students. It was founded at Kansas State University in the early 1980’s, and Lawrence Technological University’s Theta chapter will be the eighth chapter, founded in the spring of 2012.
Phi Alpha Epsilon members are to contribute ideas and provide information to encourage support and membership in the professional societies related to Architectural Engineering. Members strive to improve the advancement of education and to support practices intended to improve the active chapters of Phi Alpha Epsilon. Members shall also participate in pre-advising and tutoring activities developed by the Architectural Engineering Program.
Phi Alpha Epsilon initiates the top quarter of the junior class with architectural engineering as their primary degree. Students must remain in the top third of their senior class to remain members of the honor society.
